Nor'Easter .. continuing winter blues ... where's spring?
And it's been a week and a half or more since I last posted. No real excuse either. Was just busy with work and never got around to it and honestly nothing super exciting or noteworthy happened either so I didn't have much to talk about. Still don't really but I figured I should get on with it and update anyway. :) Right now it's Saturday just a little before noon and I am watching the snow blow around out there. The whole East Coast is getting hit with a Nor'Easter. Tons of snow, wind and freezing cold temps on top of it. They predicted anywhere between 6 and 12 inches for our area. I think we are on the lower side of things, maybe we'll be at 6 inches when it's all said and done. It's kind of hard to tell really right now. We ended up putting our car in the city garage last night and walking home to avoid having to clear off the car today if we really did get a foot of snow. I don't know if that was really necessary but I guess at least there won't be any cleaning off for the car and we'll just have to worry about shoveling our steps and walkways, the landlord does the rest for the driveway etc. Not being very productive right now, just kind of sitting here, watching the snow outside, drinking a big mug of Earl Grey tea. Maybe I'll do some more reading, that could be good. Just not feeling like doing much today I don't think.
Anyway, not a whole lot else new. Life's just been mostly work and getting from one day to the next. And still just feeling kind of blah with the winter weather. I am truly ready for spring. I know we still have a long ways to go for that but yeah. I am never a big fan of winter but this year it's really getting to me. I think because there just isn't anything else to get my mind of it. No planned travel, no shows, concerts, nothing really. Maybe I should look into Broadway tickets, see if there's something affordable we could go see. We haven't been to the theater since before Covid. Would be a fun diversion.
Last week Thursday I had a massage which was a nice highlight. And last week Sunday we tried out brunch at Edison (the new place where J. Lawrence used to be in Bethel) which was really good. So yeah, that's about all I have to report for right now I think.
