Easter Update
Happy Easter everyone. :) We really don't celebrate or do anything special for Easter so it's just another Sunday. I did buy some Easter chocolate. I mean come on, chocolate. :) But that was about it.
Was a relatively light week at work due to all NY state school systems being on spring break. CT isn't off until April but NY was off this past week. So that helped with our incoming call work load throught the week.
Worked yesterday, Saturday. Today, Sunday, we went for a walk and explored some nature trails. Wasn't a very long hike, all the trails were pretty short, but it was still nice to be outside. Will need to go back when the trees have leaves and things get to be more green again.
After our walk we headed to Flipside in Fairfield. A yummy burger place that is open regular hours with their regular menu. Enjoying a delicious mango margarita at the moment.
Tomorrow it's back to work. But at least we have a fun trip to look forward to not that far in the distant future. Booked flights to Chicago Sat April 16- Tue April 18. Looking forward to it. There's a really cool VanGogh exhibit at the art museum plus as long as the weather cooperates we want to do some outdoor stuff. Last time we were in Chicago, 2007 I think, it was February and craaaazzzzy cold.

Spring, Art, NYC, Outdoors and more
Happy Spring. It really doesn't feel like spring today though. I can't complain too much. We have had some nice weather earlier, temperatures even breaking record highs for the time of year. But today it's just a little above freezing and it's going to snow later. Ugh. I know I shouldn't be upset since we have had a very mild winter all in all. But I am just ready for spring, ready for the leaves to come back, flowers and green. Soon!!!
Thursday we had pretty nice weather and were able to leave work for a little bit to go for a hike. We discovered a state forest with various trails just a short distance from our new office. So we went for a hike that ended at a neat boardwalk around a swamp. Had fun exploring and being outside. Nice break from being behind a desk and in the office.
Also were lucky to have both Saturday and Sunday off. Yay. We have been working a lot of Saturdays lately so it was nice to get two days off in a row. So nice! So don't want to go to work tomorrow now.
Yesterday, Saturday, we took the train into the city to go to MoMa (the Modern Art Museum). Always enjoy going there. NYc is always fun regardless. They had a neat Pollock exhibit we wanted to check out. There were also some Klimt paintings. And of course Van Gogh's "Starry Night". Had fun wandering around. And afterwards we went for lunch at Chevy's. Yummy Mexican food and margaritas. So delicious.
Tomorrow is Monday and back to work. Snowy Monday, not the way I want to start the week. Let's hope it doesn't snow much. I am really not in the mood for it.
Mail Update: Letters are going out tomorrow to: Charles/TN and Celia/MA.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, Daylight Savings Time etc
I love my sleep and I hate when I am cheated out of an hour. So yeah I don't like Daylight Savings Time when we change the clocks ahead an hour in the spring. I mean fine, it's nice when it's lighter out at night, especially during the summer. But it's only the beginning of March. And all it will do is make it dark again in the morning when my alarm goes off at 6am. I hate getting up when it's dark outside. Ugh. Alright end of rant.
On a more happy note, earlier this week I decided to upgrade and got myself a new phone. So I'm now the proud owner of a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Very cool phone. I am really happy with it so far. I had the Galaxy S5 before that and really liked it but recently the screen had started flickering on the bottom and it was getting to be quite annoying.
Worked yesterday, Saturday, and then had a late lunch when we were done after 2pm. Today we are pretty much just taking easy as well. Slept in and I cuddled with our cat Sadie for a while as she was happily purring away snuggled next to me. Now out to lunch at SBC in Milford. Had a super yummy chicken sandwich with hot peppers, swiss cheese and arugula. Delicious.
Tomorrow is already Monday again. Let's see what the week brings. St. Patrick's Day, Easter and spring break are just around the corner. So I have some organizing to do with the school schedules at work so we can coordinate our deliveries.

Deadpool Movie Weekend
And somehow it's already Monday again. I am not sure anything super noteworthy happened last week. The beginning of the week dragged a lot but we eventually made it to the weekend which of course flew by way too fast. As always.
Worked Saturday (that seems to be the theme as of late, trying to get back to an every-other-week schedule but hasn't really been happening) but at least we were able to work from home which made things a little nicer.
Thursday I had a dentist appointment in the morning for a deep cleaning. Ugh. Honestly the worst part are the shots they give you to numb you. Huge needle. Ugh. But of course you don't want to have to go through that without any numbing either so it's the only logical choice. It didn't really hurt once everything was numb. The numbness stays for a few hours which is also always a really very feeling.
Anyway, I survived. Getting the other half done at the end of the month. Ugh again. But I guess it is what it is. We will see what comes after that. Of course the dentist had a huge long list of things they want to fix, what else is new?
Yesterday, on Sunday, we went to see the movie "Deadpool" at the Alamo Drafthouse in Yonkers. Such a cool movie theater where you can order food and drinks right from your seat throughout the movie. We ordered cheese fries and mini hot dogs along with some drinks. The movie was pretty neat too. I am not usually a super hero movie fan but this was different and pretty fun. And having good food and drinks while watching the movie always makes the experience better as well.
Mail Update: All caught up with my mail at this moment. :)
