Happy Spring
Seems like spring has finally come. We still have our crappy and cool days (tomorrow is supposed to be one of them) but at least it feels like spring is in the air and the nicer weather will come eventually. I love spring when the earth seems to wake up again. Everything seems to slowly come back to life after a long winter. I can't wait for the trees to have leaves again and all the flowers to start blooming. I am definitely ready for spring. :)
Tonight we have tickets to see Darrell Hammond (from SNL) at Caroline's Comedy Club on Broadway in NYC. Looking forward to it. I am sure it will be a good show. It doesn't start until 10:30 pm so it will definitely be a late night but hey, it's the weekend so it's ok. :)
Didn't do a lot today. Mostly answered emails, worked with my Rosetta Stne software and surfed the web for a bit. Tomorrow will probably be a lazy day too. Work has been busy so it's nice to relax and not do all that much. :)
Mail update. So far no letters have gone out. :( (will try and get some done tomorrow) Received letters from/still owe replies to: Tizz/Holland, Jessica/DE, Charles/TN, Kimber/Canada, Tiffany/OK, Sarah/Canada and Jetta/Finland.

Dublin - here we come
Sorry it's taken me this long to make another post. Time just seems to be flying for me at the moment. Work is really busy (we are still in the testing phase of our new project) so I don't seem to get around to a whole lot of other things. I will try and do better with my updating though.
I do have some exciting news for you all though. After thinking we wouldn't be able to go on a vacation because of all the craziness at work we received an email with an airfare alert (roundtrip to Dublin for $310 from NY). Yay ! So of course that was too good of a deal to pass up so we are going for a long weekend (4 nights) in the very beginning of May. I am super excited. :)
Never been to Ireland so far, only England. So it will be fun to be able to put a new country on my "visited places" list. I would love to see the countryside of Ireland, stay in Bed & Breakfasts and all that but for now I will be happy with Dublin. It's a good start. And I am sure we will have a great time exploring the city. And we only have to take 3 days off from work so that's not so bad. It should all work out.

Catching up with friends
It's always good to catch up with friends. Today was such a day as I got to see my friend Sharon and her 3 1/2 month old baby Leiana when they stopped by for a little visit. Had the day off today and spent the morning trying to make the house look halfway presentable. :) Got all of my spring stuff out (well most of it) and was able to clear away some of the clutter. There is still loads more left for a proper spring clean but I did what I could. It was great to see Sharon again as I haven't seen her since before her little one was born.
Not too much else new. Work is still very busy as we started to roll out our new handheld computers for our delivery drivers this week and are testing everything now. I am sure it will be great in the long run but getting there will take some time of course.
Last Sunday we ended up going into the city to Brooklyn again to eat at Cafe Steinhof again. Yumm. Have to work on Saturday again this week so I think this week we will just stay home and veg out on Sunday. Well, we will see how it goes.

Relaxing day off
It's been pretty busy at work so I haven't really gotten around to updating much. Nothing earth shattering has happened but I thought I would update real quickly anyway.
Over the weekend we went down to NYC to eat at the Austrian Cafe Steinhof -- yumm. Then on Monday we were hit with a snowstorm. I was really hoping that spring was around the corner. I really don't ant any more cold and snow. I am more than ready for spring. Well soon enough hopefully.
Since I am working on Saturday I have the day off today which is nice. I was supposed to be off Tuesday but that didn't quite pan out so I am off today instead. It's been a nice relaxing day. Made myself some tea, had leftover pizza, watched an episode of the Austrian TV show "Komissar Rex", studied Spanish with my Rosetta Stone software and now I am just being lazy.
